I am deputy head of the German Computer Association ("Gesellschaft für Informatik") Special Interest Group for CSCW, in which we try to make CSCW and even more popular field of research, development and teaching in Germany. Each year we conduct the CSCW Challenge, for which students can hand in their projects and get rewards at the German HCI conference ("Mensch und Computer").

I am a member of the steering committees of the German Special Interest Group for Human Computer Interaction, in which I try to develop opportunities for junior researchers and students to become active in HCI. I am deputy head of the CSCW chapter of this SIG, in which we try to make CSCW and even more popular field of research, development and teaching in Germany.

I am also a member of program committees of various national and international conferences such as ECSCW und CSCW, ACM CHI, ACM GROUP and ECTEL.

I have (co) authored about 140 publications in journals, conferences, workshops, books and other media.
